“ Food was delicious! Had the chicken fried steak which may be the best I have ever had anywhere. Their country gravy is unrivaled. We had Fried pickles and the fried beef tips as well and it was all scrumptious. My son had a burger which he said was one of the best he's ever had. Oldest restaurant around but well kept with a full bar and kind service. A ”
“ The place is very cozy and the staff were very friendly and tried their best to be on top of things. The Philly cheesesteak was to die for and their fries were good. I wish I could have stayed longer to try something else too! ”
“ This restaurant has great food and also does parties and catering they are known for the fried chicken Thursday and Sundays and have prime rib Saturdays definitely a place to check out with a full bar too. ”

“ Amazing experience with delicious food and friendly servers. Very cool Kansas history too ”
“ This was our first time here. Inside a great historic area, was Hays House. It was busy this lunch hour. We had to wait 20 minutes. We were seated beside a rustic fireplace. The service was friendly and quick. I had a Wabaunsy Wrangler pulled pork sandwich. Very good! I've never had this combo before! Desserts are great and also massive! Plenty to share. Afterwards we toured to house and cellar. There's big rooms available for parties. ”
“ LUNCH WITH GHOSTS! Food was on point, Coors was coors’n, and service amiable. Place is old and likely built over an indigenous burial ground. No credible evidence, but I got a feeling. They’ve got a loyal customer ”
“ Excellent from start to finish. The food was fresh, seasoned well. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had the fried chicken on a Sunday afternoon for about 14. This was worth driving out of the way. Not to mention seeing a piece of history. Ya gotta try this place! ”
